Originally inspired by Piet Mondrian’s series of compositions that came to typify the de Stijl movement of the 1920’s, a movement which advocated a purification of art, eliminating subject matter in favour of vertical and horizontal elements, and the use of primary colours and noncolours.

This piece has been featured in belle magazine, vogue living and was recently exhibited as part of the 2004 Hobart City Art Prize.
